I started iGlitz because I believe everyone deserves to come home to a space that feels fresh, calm, and comfortable. But I also know how hard it is to keep up with the cleaning when life gets busy—and let’s be honest, life is always busy.
A lot of my clients aren’t “messy people”. They’re just juggling work, kids, errands, caregiving, and the daily chaos that leaves very little time (or energy) for scrubbing baseboards or pulling out the fridge. That’s where a deep clean can work wonders.
If you’re wondering whether your home is due for a deeper, more detailed clean, here are some signs to look out for, and a breakdown of how I can help.
1. You’re Moving In or Moving Out
Whether you’re getting ready to sell, just signed a new lease, or saying goodbye to an old space, this is the number one time people reach out for a deep clean, and for good reason.
Moving is already stressful. Between packing, paperwork, and all the little things that pop up at the last minute, cleaning can feel like an impossible task. A professional deep clean takes that burden off your plate.
I offer thorough move-in and move-out cleaning services in York, PA, that cover everything from scrubbing down kitchen cabinets to wiping out drawers and disinfecting bathrooms. That way, you can focus on settling in (or getting your security deposit back!) without worrying about lingering dirt from past tenants or dusty corners you didn’t get to.
2. It’s Just Been a While
No judgment here. This is probably the most common reason people reach out.
Even if you do a great job tidying up on the regular, there are certain areas in every home that get overlooked. Over time, dust builds up on ceiling fan blades. Grease sneaks onto the range hood. The inside of your microwave starts to feel…mysterious.
If you can’t remember the last time your home had a true top-to-bottom clean, or if you’ve been meaning to get around to it for months, it might be time to let someone else take it off your hands. A deep clean helps reset your space so you can breathe easier (literally and emotionally).
3. Your Allergies Are Getting Worse
Sometimes people call me because they’re tired of sneezing, or their kids are waking up congested, and they’re not sure why. Often, the answer is hidden dust, pet dander, and pollen collecting in overlooked places.
During a deep clean, I focus on the spots that contribute to poor indoor air quality: behind furniture, in air vents, under beds, along baseboards, and around window sills. This kind of detailed cleaning can help reduce allergens in your home and create a healthier space overall.
4. Your Kitchen and Bathroom Aren’t Cutting It
These two rooms see the most use and the most germs. And let’s be honest, cleaning a toilet or degreasing a stove isn’t anyone’s idea of a fun Saturday.
If you’ve scrubbed your sink and it still doesn’t feel clean, or your shower walls have soap scum that won’t budge, it might be time for deeper, more targeted attention. My deep cleaning process includes disinfecting high-touch areas, scrubbing grime from grout lines, cleaning behind and under appliances (when accessible), and getting into the corners most people miss.
5. You’re Hosting (or Recovering From) Guests
If you’ve got family coming in for the holidays, friends staying over for the weekend, or a party on the calendar, having a clean home can help you feel more relaxed and ready to enjoy it. And if you’ve just hosted people? You deserve a break.
A deep clean before or after your event takes one more thing off your plate so you can focus on what matters: making memories, not mopping floors.
What’s Actually Included in an iGlitz Deep Clean?
Every cleaning I do is customized based on your space, your needs, and what matters most to you. But in general, here’s what I include in a full-service deep clean:

- Blinds, vents, and ceiling fans: wiped down or dusted (ladder-friendly heights only)
- Bathroom sinks, tubs, toilets, and floors: disinfected and scrubbed thoroughly
